Biochem is a pharma-partnered drug developer based in Toronto, and is advancing the development of novel bioconjugate therapeutics for oncology, immuno-oncology and immunology. Immuno Biochem is seeking an exceptional research associate to join the drug development team as a research scientist working on various industry-academia-partnered projects. In this multi-faceted role, the individual will work alongside Immuno Biochem’s
senior leadership
and collaborating Principal Investigator(s) at an academic institution to help advance a number of therapeutics discovery and R&D projects.

Role Description
· As a Research Associate at Immuno Biochem, the candidate will be responsible for the execution of experimental workflows in Immuno Biochem’s and/or academic laboratories across several discovery and R&D projects. The candidate will work closely with lmmuno
Biochem’s Scientist(s) and the collaborating Principal Investigator(s).
· Experimental procedures performed would include a variety of immunological, molecular biology and biochemical assays (ELISA, EIA, protein assays, WB, SDS-PAGE, IF, PCR, RT-PCR, IHC), flow cytometry and image analysis, and experimental models (tissue culture and mouse models of tumor xenografts and acute/chronic immune disease models). Additionally, the individual could contribute to novel antibody and protein production, conjugation, purification and characterization.
· The candidate will help in the development of new study designs, SOPs, write study reports, and will conduct experimental and other work, as required.
· The candidate will critically analyze, report on and present data regularly and will assist in a variety of other tasks, as may be required, including managing or supporting
collaborative
projects and external CRO-led projects. The candidate will be conducting some work at multiple laboratory sites. Qualifications and

Requirements
· The candidate should possess a PhD in immunology, cancer biology, bioengineering or a related biomedical discipline, and 2-5 years of research associate or post-doctoral experience.
· Superb knowledge and understanding of immunobiology and oncology.
· Prior industry experience is an asset.
· The candidate must have proven and advanced experience with standard immunology and molecular biology techniques, cell culture and significant
hands-on experience
with animal models.
· Practical experience in animal immunization and hybridoma generation for antibody development is a definitive asset.
· Other assets include practical experience in proteomics, chemistry, structural biology, synthetic biology and high throughput assays, and targeted protein degradation.
