Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovator to join our deck building & renovation team in Ottawa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of building, remodeling, and repair work. This role involves working on decks and interior renovations, requiring proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and a variety of construction techniques. The Renovator will play a key role in transforming spaces through expert craftsmanship and attention to detail.
We mainly work in the West End but to have projects all over Ottawa. Projects range in size from a simple pressure treated deck to high end composite decks or bathrooms to full basement finishing.
Responsibilities
- Install decks using various media including wood, composite and PVC. We also have various framing materials using wood, steel and OC Lumber
- We complete full renovation projects from framing to the final product which include but limited to: framing, drywall & finishing, trim, paint, tile, flooring and cabinets
- Problem solving in unique finishing solutions
- Able to plan for the next steps, this is important to be able to visual how the initial steps carry over to the final finish
Experience
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, woodworking, or related trades
- We are looking for someone to take a lead position which would involve working with another team member and keeping them busy
- Own tools and truck preferred
