Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents. This role requires a strong commitment to patient well-being and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, particularly those with dementia or requiring senior care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist in daily living activities for patients in assisted living or home care settings.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies.
Job Requirements:
· Current registration with College of Nurses
· Ability to complete all RPN assigned duties
· Ability to work without supervision
· Courteous at all times and able to meet residents needs
· Able to complete assigned duties and follow instructions
· Able to read and write
· Understanding of and ability to speak English
· Able to monitor other staff on floor
All vaccinations must be up to date including Covid Booster.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology.
- Experience working with seniors, or individuals with dementia is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of best practices in nursing care.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in patient documentation and care plans.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care that emphasizes empathy and respect for individual needs.

Pay: $25.86-$27.37 per hour
