As an RN with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

Work independently and as a member of aninterdisciplinarycare team to provide nursing care to assigned patients/clients.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care.

Participate in discharge planning, function as a client advocate and teach clients and their families about illness/injury and overall healthpromotionandwellness.

Enhance thequality of lifeof the client/family.

Document care provided and respond to incidents in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Consult, confer and collaborate with other health care providers.

Maintain and advance your own clinical competence.

Participate on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

Sechelt Hospital provides a full range of services to the community, including Emergency care, Renal program-community dialysis units, Mental Health and Substance Use Services, surgical services, birthing for low-risk pregnancies and imaging services.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to designated client group.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement care plans.

Demonstrated ability to adjust to unexpected events, problem-solve, set priorities and deal with conflict.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
