As a Registered Nurse reporting to the Patient Care Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering primary care to patients in the Emergency Department. Your responsibilities will involve assessment, intervention, education, and advocacy, all while embracing the principles of person-centered care. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families during critical moments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide thorough assessments of Emergency patients
• Implement care plans in a timely manner
• Educate families on care processes and options
• Foster collaborations within the healthcare team
• Engage in quality improvement and nursing initiatives
Requirements:
• Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses required
• Two years of recent Emergency experience or equivalent
• Preferred:
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
• Current A.C.L.S. and B.C.L.S. certifications
• Dedication to ongoing education in Emergency practices
