Responsibilities
Created with Sketch.As a registered nurse you will become an integral member of the interprofessional team responsible for the comprehensive care of medical patients. You will practice in an environment where the emphasis is on professional practice and customer satisfaction. In addition, you will utilize your demonstrated clinical leadership skills, well developed analytical, problem solving, delegation and interpersonal skills to assist you in the provision of quality patient care.
Care Created with Sketch.Using your clinical expertise, in collaboration with the interprofessional team, you will be responsible for comprehensive assessment, care planning, patient education and discharge planning to support the continuity of care throughout the patient’s stay on AAU, an acute inpatient medical department. You will play a critical role in the coordination and development of interprofessional plans of care, which reflect patient needs.
Requirements
Created with Sketch.Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses. Current BCLS certification. Certificate in oncology and/or gerontology would be an asset. RNAO membership is preferred. Created with Sketch.Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in acute medicine. AAU experience preferred. Coronary Care 1 experience preferred.
