Registered Counselling Therapist/ Registered Counselling Therapist-Candidate Jobs in Halifax at Broad Therapy Services
Position Details:
- Provide individual/ couples counselling to a diverse set of clients dealing with various issues.
- Potentially 8-10 client therapy hours per week, with flexibility to adjust based on clinician preference.
- Evaluate client needs and work with them to set objectives and develop a strategy to achieve them, within the terms and conditions of the regulatory college.
- The caseload consists of clients who will be provided to you by Broad Therapy Services (either self-referred, referred by a physician, or referred by a third-party payer or a public agency). Referrals would correspond with the associate’s proficiency and interests, thereby facilitating a more customized and gratifying client workload.
- We will provide in-person office space within the professional service establishment in Bedford, Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate must have the availability to work in-person in the office for at least one day a week.

- Associate will have the access to avenues for informal discussions, informal supervision, and specialized mentorship from fellow clinician.

- Compensation is fee for service.
Required core qualifications and skills:
- Master’s degree in counselling psychology.
- Full membership and in good standing with Registered Counselling Therapists and valid professional liability insurance.
- EMDR training/experience would be preferred.
- Available to see clients in-person or telehealth (online).
- Training and practical experience with evidence-based psychotherapy models is an asset.
- Multicultural knowledge and competency required.
- Expertise in trauma-based therapy models is highly desired.
- Ability to clinically manage various clinical cases, ability to set short-term and long-term objectives with the client, and comprehensive treatment planning skills.
- Be efficient and responsive in the provision of required clinical documentation.
- Demonstrate a work ethic, reliability, maturity, and flexibility.
