Clinical Applications Specialist – Diagnostic Ultrasound

Your Role at CCE
As a clinical applications specialist, your role will involve a wide range of duties as outlined below. This position requires a high-level knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound, Canadian healthcare, and patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties
Build and maintain professional relationships with your colleagues and key players in the Canadian healthcare industry.
Possess extensive knowledge of sonographic practices, and become an expert with Samsung ultrasound equipment.
Communicate with manufacturers about technical features, new releases, and other important correspondence.
Significant involvement in pre-sale demonstrations of ultrasound machines and peripheral equipment, and post-sale technical training/support.
Installation of ultrasound systems at clinics and hospitals.
Provide memorable and professional services and support to clients.
Participate in the planning and execution of industry relevant educational workshops/conferences.
Provide product training to clients and cross-training for CCE staff.
Maintain proficiency in industry trends and ultrasound technological advancements.
Be familiar with all Ultrasound options/applications, create optimal presets for ultrasound systems, and otherwise optimize the end-user experience.
Planning, preparation, and presentation of technical information to clients, including but not limited to involvement in RFPs.
Demonstration and promotion of competitively advantageous features to encourage sales.
Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance record.
Compliance with all CCE safety rules and procedures.
Skills Needed
An excellent understanding of diagnostic ultrasound systems in their functionality, mechanics, technical aspects, applications, and features.
Effective communication skills for internal collaboration and client interactions.
Ability to work independently and strong willingness to learn
Possess adequate patient knowledge, and anatomical knowledge in diagnostic imaging applications
Strong time management and organization skills.
A good understanding of Canadian healthcare regulations and regulators applicable to our business.
Excellent computer skills
Willingness to travel within Western Canada is essential, nationwide travel is valued but not compulsory.
Excellent customer relations skills
Qualifications
1-2+ years of industry experience required.
Background as a diagnostic medical sonographer or a related position is essential, and diagnostic medical sonography accreditation is an asset.
Valid registration with Sonography Canada, CMRITO, and/or ARDMS is very highly valued.
Experience in teaching ultrasound/sonography is very highly valued.
A valid full Alberta driver’s license is required.
Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and provide proof of eligibility
Candidate must possess excellent intrapersonal and training skills.
Must always adhere to Federal and Provincial regulations and safety protocols relating to the medical devices industry.
Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Hours, Location & Compensation
Base Salary is determined by qualifications and experience.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm excluding statutory holidays.
