Job Overview
Pangea Design Build is hiring construction crew members at all levels — from general labor to experienced crew leaders — to build regenerative, off-grid structures across northern New Mexico. Our projects include Earthship-style biotecture, ICF construction, 3D-printed concrete homes, passive solar design, and integrated water and energy systems. Work is active and immediate across multiple job sites in Taos, NM and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform hands-on construction work across all phases of building: site prep, foundation, framing, ICF wall systems, roofing, finish work, and systems installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications
- Assist with or lead installation of renewable energy components (solar, battery systems), rainwater harvesting, and greywater systems
- Maintain job site safety in compliance with OSHA standards
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to keep work on schedule and on spec
- Conduct quality control at each phase of construction
- Crew leaders will supervise daily site operations, manage materials, coordinate labor, and report to project management
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on construction experience — residential, commercial, natural building, or off-grid (all backgrounds considered)
- Earthship Academy, natural building, or sustainable construction training is a strong plus
- Ability to read blueprints and follow construction drawings
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
- Experience with any of the following is valued: ICF systems, rammed earth, adobe, earthen plaster, solar installation, rainwater systems, concrete, framing, finish carpentry
- Self-starting, reliable, and able to work efficiently as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Crew leader applicants should have supervisory experience and the ability to manage a crew independently on site
Compensation
- General Labor: $20–$30/hr depending on experience and skills
- Crew Leaders: $30 + /hr depending on experience
- 90-day trial period; performance review and rate adjustment at completion
