Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Red Seal Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive carpentry expertise, including blueprint reading, concrete forming, and woodworking. This role involves working on diverse projects such as restoration, cabinetry, roofing, and general construction. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and construction estimating to deliver high-quality craftsmanship across various building and renovation tasks.
Duties
- Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately.
- Construct, install, and repair structures including framing, siding, roofing, flooring, tile laying, and cabinetry.
- Perform concrete forming and rebar installation for foundational or structural elements.
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Install plumbing and electrical components as required for integrated building systems.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, assemble, and finish woodwork or other materials.
- Manage construction estimating tasks to ensure project efficiency and resource allocation.
- Execute masonry work involving bricklaying or stonework as needed.
- Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, painting, or siding installation to enhance project aesthetics.
- Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to support team operations on-site.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry or related construction fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating is essential.
- Hands-on experience with concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding installation, flooring installation, tile laying, cabinetry installation, and woodworking is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery or manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Skills in plumbing and electrical work are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Prior handyman experience or experience in restoration projects will be considered an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
