Recruitment By Design is hiring again! We are a full-service, boutique staffing agency specializing in direct-hire architecture, design and engineering positions across Canada. We are currently seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join our growing team. In this role you will work alongside an Account Manager and fellow Recruiters to fill job orders from clients. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication, organization and multi-tasking skills, ideally with an interest in the AEC industry.

Although we are a primarily remote operation, applicants should be based in Ontario within commutable distance of the Greater Toronto Area as the probationary period for this position will be hybrid, and new employees will be expected to attend some in-person training days.

Compensation for this role can be offered in two ways: as an employee of the company paid out a base salary ($50-55k) plus commission or as a contractor on a pure commission model. We also allow for employees to transition between these two models. Overall earning potential for the first year would be in the $90-120k range depending on performance.

Responsibilities:

– Review resumes received from job ads and qualify in accordance with position; actively pursue talent using search engines and direct-messaging capabilities

– Screen, qualify and refer candidates, including preparing formal submissions for clients

– Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

– Human Resources related field of study or Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent as a minimum; 1-3 years’ industry experience is an asset but not required

-Experience using hiring platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter to source hard-to-find talent and build candidate pipelines; familiarity with CRM/ATS such as Bullhorn considered an asset

– Experience conducting behavioural interviews, pre-qualifying and screening active and passive candidates, or demonstrated competency in people-facing roles

– Experience negotiating contracts and employment offers; familiarity with employment legislation an asset

– Highly self-motivated and sales-oriented; capable of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure and in a quota-centric environment

– Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent email and phone etiquette
