About the Role
Summer Camp Leaders for children aged kindergarten through 12 years are responsible for designing and leading recreational programs at a camp. They create engaging indoor and outdoor activities, coach and supervise children, and ensure a safe, healthy environment for all participants.
Responsibilities
Design and facilitate recreational, sports, and arts and crafts activities.
Teach and lead activities to children individually and in group settings.
Maintain a safe, healthy environment by enforcing safety protocols.
Engage with children, staff, and parents to create a positive camp experience.
Qualifications
Education, Certifications and Licenses
Acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
Current CPR and Basic First Aid certification.
A valid driver’s license (Manitoba) is an asset.
Completion of HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport and HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children by the end of probation.
Experience
Experience working with children.
Experience in programming activities for children.
Experience leading children in activities.
Experience ensuring safety protocols and procedures.
Competencies – client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership.
Language Requirements – English essential; bilingual in French is an asset.

Other Information
Moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg) required.
Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check required.
On‑site position with a designated work location.
Start date:
23 June 2026.
Temporary position with anticipated end date of 28 August 2026.
