Full job description
We are a full-service legal firm of 19 lawyers with a full complement of support staff. Our Firm is seeking a qualified Records Assistant to support the Firm in its transition to an electronic file management system. This position is responsible for scanning, indexing, and reviewing documents for legibility. The assistant will be required to adhere toLaw Society Act, Firm policies and other regulatory requirements for file management, retention and destruction.
This is a temporary contract position for 1-year, with a potential for extension.
The successful candidate must have the ability to handle confidential matters, ability to organize and review physical and electronic files and comfortability in learning new software. The chosen candidate will have excellent attention to detail, ability to perform repetitive tasks, work under minimal supervision and ability to lift up to 50lbs., as necessary.
