$26.50 to 29.50 /hour – Full-time, Permanent – Benefits/Sales Commissions.

Now in its 37th year, OptaDerm Products and Skin Care Clinic continues to be one of Vancouver’s leading combined skin care brands and esthetic treatment clinics.

OptaDerm performs all research, design, and manufacturing of its own skin care product line. The extensive line-up of products is highly respected, and the clinic serves as a launching pad for experiencing the brand through professional treatments and trusted advice. OptaDerm Skin Care Clinic provides a variety of treatments for your skin that will address issues and concerns to maintain and improve long-term skin health.

Our combined system of Products, Facials & other Aesthetics, Radio Frequency Treatments, and Aesthetic Laser Treatments (IPL, Fractional, Q-Switched YAG lasers) is designed to improve the skin’s overall appearance and enhance the well-being of our clients.

OptaDerm’s founder Dean-Richard Johansson, believes strongly in a scientific and evidence-based world for evaluating skin improvement solutions. There is no single miracle, no magic substance, nor treatment – just a steady dedication to this well-rounded approach to skin care. Dean-Richard is one of Canada’s leading formulating chemists in cosmetic skin, hair, and body care products. He also serves as our Director of Laser Services.

OptaDerm Skin Care Clinic has been evolving, growing from its humble roots into a its true self as a destination skin care brand and trusted aesthetics & laser clinic – often serving 2 or 3 generations of clients within the same family. Working with the Clinic Assistant Manager, as well as directly with the Founder, and the CSO, we are looking for an experienced Front Desk Salesperson and Receptionist. Brand Ambassador is a natural outreach of the role and informs the style of work

Passionate about skin care from overall health, the products, and to treatments.
Interested in chemistry, to appreciate the quality of active ingredients in the brand.
Driven to provide world class service in our clinic environment while upholding the highest of standards in health and safety in all areas of the Optaderm Skin Care Clinic.
A team player, optimistic, motivated to succeed and able to communicate and relate to their internal team members, stakeholders and clients.
An excellent listener and self-driven individual
Have superior time management and organizational skills.
Computer and system strength – Tech Savvy
Available to work on Saturdays and flexible to adapt to schedule throughout the week.

Role Responsibilities in the Receptionist and Sales position:

Sales refers to both “Services” and to the “Products” that we offer

o greeting guests upon arrival, 85% of our clients are primarily walking in for booked services or to re-stock on products they already use

o Lead the Front of house “experience” helping other front desk persons (part-timers or in-fill – to transition in & out of the roles quickly – everyone is flexible

o answering phone calls, email, and walk-in inquiries,

o e-mailing and articulating treatment plans,

o receiving and processing payments,

o scheduling and managing appointments.

o maintaining confidential client files and consent forms.

o provide excellent referrals for skin consultations.

o recommend our services and products to our clients.

o assisting with inventory counts and restocking, store merchandising, keeping the store tidy.

o You must be comfortable with light housekeeping, but we do have professional cleansers as well.

o Ensure that guests leave with a lasting impression by treating all guests with the utmost courtesy and providing personalized and friendly service.

· Well organized and able to maintain a high level of organization that others can follow easily.

Role Responsibilities in the Brand Ambassador and Inventory position:

· As a Brand Ambassador, you set the tone and professional demeanor of the Front of House Sales & Lifestyle experience. You will understand the brand , its customers, its products, its approach, and use the brand experience in your sales techniques.

– Work with the Aestheticians and Laser technicians to finish their sales and client re-bookings as needed, or assist in ‘flipping’ treatment rooms to allow Aestheticians to spend more time with their own clients

– Support merchandizing schemes within the Clinic

· Performing inventory counts and cycle-counting activities

· Work with a given budget and speak directly to vendors or head office about re-orders of certain products and supplies.

· Problem solving inventory issues with help from the entire team

· Identify improvements to be made in our marketing presentatio

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: based on qualifications and experience, we usually start with an hourly rate and move to a Salary after probation

Experience: We are flexible to receive resumes with a combination of experiences. IDeally we are looking for:

Reception: 2 years + in a Spa, Medi-Spa, Wellness Centre, or Salon environment

Inventory: 2 year+ in a Beauty brand Retail or Back-Office environment with Inventory, Stock Control or other Operations Customer Service: 2 years+ in skincare, haircare, or other retail beauty products

Brand: 2+ years of experience with a comprehensive Beauty or Skin care brand

An Aesthetics practitioner background (diploma) is helpful, but not required.

Additional information:

You must be:

Tech Savvy and able to work with various software or have keen proven skills to uptake new tech quickly. Experience with any of the following is ideal (but training is provided):

– Moneris, JaneApp, Shopify or Lightspeed POS, PC-Windows, Excel, Social Media Apps, Email protocols,

Quick learner as you will have to memorize product features & benefits, treatment FAQs, clinic policies and protocols, etc.
