We are currently looking for a RECEPTIONIST AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT to join our Markham team. If you enjoy supporting your colleagues, are an excellent communicator and want to work in a stimulating environment, this job is made for you!
OUR JOB OFFER
The Front Desk Administrative Assistant will be mainly responsible for answering calls and receiving visitors and providing administrative support.
The incumbent is expected to :
Answer, screen and transfer all incoming calls;
Welcome visitors;
Sort and distribute incoming mail and process courier delivery requests;
Revise and format various documents in English (presentations, charts, memos, letters, general correspondence, etc.);
Create or edit administrative forms;
Support the different group insurance plan administration services (validation, data entry, coding, );
Support the accounting team by keying data entry transactions;
Manage the conference rooms and order meals as needed;
Ensure follow-up with the building manager;
Order office supplies;
Update certain lists (telephone, messaging, );
Prepare and send birthday greetings;
Make hotel and transportation reservations for travel or meetings and generate expense accounts;
Perform any other related tasks as requested by the
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications :
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position (group insurance, an asset);
Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written
Versatility, resourcefulness and ability to work independently;
Flexibility, diplomacy and tactfulness;
Excellent organizational skills;
Command of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn how to use technology tools.
