Job Summary
Healthmedica Guelph is seeking a Receptionist/Physical Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This dual-role position involves managing front desk operations, and supporting physical therapy services. The ideal candidate will have a previous background in physiotherapy and/or medical reception , possess strong organizational and communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage check-in/check-out procedures at the front desk
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to ensure smooth clinic operations
  • Assist physical therapists with patient care activities, including setting up treatment areas, assisting with modalities when needed and supporting therapeutic exercises
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and treatment spaces
  • Support administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and handling billing inquiries as needed

Skills

  • Prior experience in physiotherapy and/or medical reception
  • Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient well-being
  • Organizational skills to manage schedules, records, and administrative duties effectively

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
