Registered Early Childhood Educator Required
Yorkview Kids Care (located in Yorkview Public School Finch/Bathurst). We are a non-profit program looking for educators to join our team. We have been operating for 35 years providing care for children 2.5 years to 9 years of age.
POSITION
Hours 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. & 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (split shift 6 hours). Supply hours available.
The position is for a RECE working with the Pre-school & Full Day Kindergarten group.
Applicant would need to be available for full-time hour shifts on P.A. days/School Breaks and during the Summer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work in a co-operative manner to program, plan, and implement activities that adhere to the E.L.E.C.T. and AQI documents. Must have the ability to observe and document children’s interests/learning and apply it to their needs and interests.
Provide calm, consistent supervision and guidance of daily activities and during field trips. Understand the importance of a Play Inquiry Program, self-regulation and positive child guidance techniques.
Requirements:
Early Childhood Education Diploma
Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing
An up-to-date Standard First Aid & current CPR (Level C)
Up to date health form that meets Ministry requirements.
Valid, up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Check
Knowledge of AQI, ELECT, HOW DOES LEARNING HAPPEN, and THE CHILDCARE EARLY YEARS ACT.
Salary: Start rate: $26.00/hour (PWE included)
Position starting: ASAP to August 30th, 2024 (Fixed Contract)
