Join the Forestry and Parks team as a Rangeland Team Lead, focusing on the stewardship of Alberta’s public rangelands. Drive impactful conservation initiatives through effective program management and regional collaboration.

In this senior role, you will oversee multiple programs, including Rangeland Management and Provincial Grazing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Lands Manager, you will provide leadership, analysis, and facilitate teamwork among a diverse staff. Your expertise will shape land use policies and ensure compliance with guidelines and strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the department in rangeland program decisions

• Implement integrated environmental practices in approvals

• Manage Provincial Grazing Reserves and stakeholder engagements

• Develop rangeland plans and assist with allotment renewals

• Lead monitoring programs for compliance with agreements

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Agriculture or related field

• 4+ years in range or environmental management

• Professional Agrologist registration or in-training status

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean record

• Intermediate First Aid certification with CPR
