Reports to: Director of Operations
Role and Responsibilities
· · Assist with the movement and placement of rail cars on site
· Lab testing, testing oil samples of all incoming truck loads, recording of density and volumes and H2S to ensure loads are within the specified guidelines for acceptance on the site
· Monitoring truck drivers to make sure they are adhering to company policy and procedures
· Collect and enter all truck ticket information for incoming and outgoing trucks arriving and leaving site
· Inspect and prepare rail cars for loading
· Prepare rail cars for offloading using steam truck when required
· Load and unload rail cars with crude oil and chemicals following all safety procedures and ensuring the rail car is properly sealed and ready for transport
· Monitoring and recording of tank levels inclusive of oil temperature, H2S, flashpoint and volumes
· Collaborate with administrative duties for the accurate and timely input of relevant data into the IGO Rail system, Salesforce and administrative other tasks as assigned
· Actively participate in the Quality Health Safety and Environment program to prevent, identify, and mitigate hazards
· General maintenance duties as assigned, may involve yard maintenance, snow removal and basic facility and equipment repairs and clean up
The Individual:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Education and Experience
· Minimum of Grade 12, post-secondary education an asset
· Experience in the oil industry and/or rail experience is preferred
· Having maintenance in the oil industry experience is an asset
· Must have some computer experience in Microsoft office

· Has a very high regard for safety in the workplace and has a strong commitment to operational policies and procedures
· Is willing to work in all weather conditions year-round, in extreme heat and cold winter weather
· Able to complete the physical aspects of job, heavy lifting, climbing stairs, crawling under rail cars etc.
· Must pass all required courses, inclusive of H2S, First Aid training, TDG
· Must be able to pass an e-Rail criminal background check
· Valid Driver’s license
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
