We’re looking for a
Quality Control Supervisor
to join our Soda Creek location in Williams Lake, British Columbia. Our Soda Creek Division safely and sustainably produces over million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Minimum3 years of quality control experience
    , with1 – 2+ years in a leadership capacity
    .
  • Demonstrated experience
    leading and managing change
    .
  • Strong background in
    planning, goal setting
    , and
    project management
    .
  • University Degree or Technical Diploma in a relevant field preferred.
  • Knowledge of
    lumber manufacturing
    processes and equipment.
  • Excellent
    problem-solving
    and
    critical thinking
    skills.
  • Exceptional
    interpersonal skills
    and a talent for
    building effective partnerships
    .
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    In this role, you will:

  • Execute the
    divisional quality control program
    , oversee
    end products and processes
    ,
    analyze performance
    , and implement
    improvement plans
    .
  • Resolve
    quality issues
    , participate in
    long-term planning
    , and support innovative ideas.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and
    develop new products and procedures
    .
  • Ensure
    safe operation
    , eliminate safety hazards, and deliver the mill’s safety program.
  • Work with government representatives on
    compliance matters
    and support the Joint Health Safety Committee.
  • Develop
    monitoring programs
    , analyze
    quality control information
    , and
    communicate variances
    .
  • Identify improvements and stay updated on
    industry practices and equipment
    .
  • Support employee development, oversee daily activities, and ensure consistent application of policies.
