Job Summary
If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and a great team to work with, this might be for you! This position is for a plastics manufacturer. Duties vary depending on the program on-line. Inspect parts and identify any defects, pack parts. Strong attention to detail is very important, must be flexible and adaptable to relatively quick changes.
Specific Duties:
- Immediate response to cart jams
- Inspect all parts in a timely manner with minimal error
- Assist with lab function such as the daily data pack and quality checks of the wash system if necessary
- Monitor/correct all tags on all racks/parts before leaving the inspection area
- Basic understanding of paint defects
- Monitor and request resources needed to accomplish work objectives
- Basic understanding of parts
- Work with shipping of in-bound and out-bound parts to meet customer specifications
- Assist shipping department with special packaging and inspections – such as test parts and service requirements
- Assist as needed in sampling new parts and documenting the paint process
- Assist inspecting and determining root-cause for company rejects defects or product returns
- Coordinate and document quality concerns to make all shifts aware of present issues
- Assist all supervisors as required
- Work with new and current employees (load, QC, buff, sand, and shipping) to maintain high quality levels
- Advise employees and supervisors when quality levels are not being maintained or procedures that are not followed
- Assist with packaging and inventory of raw or finished product parts for service or production
