Overview:As a Quality Supervisor in our manufacturing and distribution facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and consistency. You will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes, implementing quality assurance measures, and leading a team of quality inspectors to achieve operational excellence. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and leadership skills will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Systems:

Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Conduct regular inspections of wire harness assemblies at various stages of production to identify defects or deviations from specifications.

Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and train a team of quality inspectors, providing guidance on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.

Foster a culture of quality consciousness and accountability among team members, promoting continuous improvement initiatives.

Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development opportunities for team members.

Quality Assurance:

Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality control measures.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize quality-related defects and rework.

Ensure compliance with relevant quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) and participate in internal and external audits as required.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and non-conformances, utilizing digital documentation systems where applicable.

Prepare regular reports on quality performance metrics, including defect rates, rework costs, and corrective action status, for management review.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization and quality enhancement through data analysis, trend monitoring, and feedback from stakeholders.

Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement projects and drive efficiency gains in wire harness assembly processes.

Customer Liaison and Compliance:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, feedback, and quality-related issues, ensuring timely response and resolution.

Collaborate with customers to conduct root cause analysis for quality concerns, utilizing methodologies such as 8D problem-solving to identify underlying causes and implement corrective actions.

Facilitate the completion of First Article Inspections (FAIs), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions, and other customer-required documentation to demonstrate product conformance and compliance.

Coordinate and support external audits conducted by customers or regulatory agencies, providing documentation, conducting facility tours, and addressing audit findings to maintain customer satisfaction and compliance with quality standards.
