Job title: Quality Assurance Intern

Location: North York ONPosition SummaryWe are looking for a Quality Assurance Intern based at our North York Head Office for the months of May to August 2024. This role is a great opportunity to work on Quality activities for any of the Nestlé Canada Categories. You will be working daily with quality management professional and some cross-functional teams’ members to strengthen quality process to ensure compliance and food safety.

As aQuality Assurance Intern, you will be assigned to a project to maximize efficiency in different areas of the department like the following:

Drive & sustain successful change management through identifying opportunities to optimize product specification and quality release process.

Implement a digital solution to eliminate manual work and improve on speed of processes.

Support the successful implementation of the Controlled Document Tool for the market as part of Quality Compliance.

Identify opportunities to reduce consumer complaints.

Develop the capabilities of the department colleagues.

As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organisation so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment.

You will also:

3rd or 4th year undergraduate student pursuing degree in Engineering (Environmental, Food, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical), Food & Nutrition, Food Science, Agriculture, Operations Management (Manufacturing).

Maintaining a GPA of a minimum 3.0 and above is considered an asset.

Have strong communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Has knowledge about LEAN and TPM principles

Self-motivated, results focused, agile, innovative, and intellectually curious.

Fast learner, and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, challenging environment.

Strong computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
