QA Analyst
Full time/permanent opportunity
***This is an in-office position, 5 days per week***
***The office is in Mississauga, very close to the airport***
Job Description:
- Creating test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
- Documenting software defects, using a Jira bug tracking system, and reporting defects to software developers
- Identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
- Performing initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source
- Creating and or improving test plans that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
- Documenting test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
- Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
- Conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments
- Testing system modifications to prepare for implementation
- Monitoring bug resolution efforts
- Reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
- Investigating customer problems referred by technical support
- Conducting historical analyses of test results
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with XML and JSON files as well as editors such as Altova, Sublime & Visual Studio Code
- Working knowledge of various testing methodologies and tools
- Continuous improvement mindset demonstrable through projects etc.
Base salary – $68,000 – $72,000
+Bonus
