Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Quad Axle Dumptruck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks equipped with four axles, transporting materials efficiently across construction sites and ensuring smooth project progress. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and commitment to safety will drive the success of our projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your skills in a fast-paced environment where every load counts. You will be working mainly for one contractor, with year round work!
Duties
- Safely operate a quad axle dump truck to transport gravel, dirt, asphalt, and other construction materials to various sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the dump truck, ensuring all mechanical systems are functioning properly.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other heavy equipment operators to deliver materials precisely where needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities for compliance and safety records.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating dump trucks, especially quad axle models, in a construction setting.
- mechanical knowledge
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. (2 yr minimum)
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on heavy machinery and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
