PURCHASING MANAGER

We’re partnering with a growing, international business to find a Purchasing Manager to join their team in a fully on-site role (5 days a week) . This position requires a strong technical manufacturing background , proven leadership skills , and hands-on experience with component purchasing and managing a high volume of SKUs .

This is a high-impact role with strong visibility across finance, operations, and global teams, offering great exposure and career growth. In this role, you will take the lead on month-end close and financial reporting, while supporting the Financial Controller in strengthening processes, enhancing controls, and enabling the business to scale effectively.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including operations and supply chain, making this a well-rounded role with both technical and commercial exposure.

Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Lead the full month-end close process from start to finish
  • Act as the main finance point of contact during close cycles
  • Prepare journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Deliver group reporting packs and investigate key variances
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity across balance sheet accounts

Revenue, Billing & Receivables

  • Oversee invoicing and accounts receivable processes end to end
  • Monitor collections and maintain accurate ageing reports
  • Apply revenue recognition standards under US GAAP or IFRS across multiple revenue streams

Inventory & Costing

  • Support and gradually take ownership of inventory valuation and standard costing
  • Analyse cost of goods sold and operational performance
  • Partner with operations and supply chain to ensure inventory accuracy

Controls & Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Review work from junior team members or shared services
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to streamline reporting timelines
  • Provide analysis and support on projects led by the Financial Controller

Professional Qualifications & Experience

You’re someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working in a dynamic, evolving environment. You bring a strong technical accounting foundation, paired with a collaborative and commercially aware approach, along with hands-on exposure to manufacturing environments.
  • CPA or equivalent designation (ACA, CA, CGA, CMA)
  • Solid experience in a senior accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS, especially in revenue and inventory
  • Hands-on experience managing month-end and reporting cycles
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or similar
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with international teams

  • Background in a technical manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Experience with component purchasing
  • Experience managing large volumes of SKUs
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days a week

  • Background in manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or similar industries
  • Exposure to cost accounting
  • Experience in multi-entity or shared services environments
  • Track record of improving finance processes or systems
