Color Steels Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of Purchaser in our Thornhill, ON location.
Vacancy Status: New headcount
Please note – our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug evaluation.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Purchasing of metal and expediting on a daily basis
- Purchase order entry of all other major purchases
- Build strong partnerships with key vendors
- Networking and after-hours events as required
- Knowledge and/or quick learner of our Invex ERP system
- Work closely with sales and scheduling
- Work closely with logistics and inventory management
Education And Skills Required
- Post secondary education is an asset
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Similar purchasing experience, especially in the metals industry, would be an asset.
Base Salary: $50,000 – $70,000
