Role Description
This is a part-time/full-time remote role for a Registered Psychotherapist. The Registered Psychotherapist will be responsible for providing refugee assessment sessions to individuals dealing with various mental health concerns. The role involves maintaining accurate and timely clinical reports, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and adhering to ethical principles and legal requirements. We provide refugee assessment/report writing training for the selected candidate.
Qualifications
Masters-level education in related fields required
Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists or the Ontario College of Social Workers
Previous experience in a private practice setting, where strong clinical assessment and treatment skills were required
Experience providing assessment/therapy to individuals from diverse backgrounds and working with a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues
Excellent assessment and diagnosis skills
Ability to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, including evidence-based interventions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with other healthcare professionals and clients
Ability to maintain accurate and timely reports/clinical notes and adhere to ethical principles and legal requirements
Experience with remote therapy sessions is an asset
Nice-to-Have
Able to provide assessment/counselling services in multiple languages.
