The Project Manager will play a key role in the expansion of the company in Canada and support world-class municipal projects. This role will combine technical expertise in Water and Wastewater engineering, along with
project management
skills and an
entrepreneurial
mindset. What you will do in the role: as the Project Manager for significant water and wastewater projects across the general Greater Toronto Area and surrounding municipalities.as
the primary liaison with client’s Project Managers, overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality management, etc.with the local Executive Team and Corporate Sales and Marketing team to prepare proposals and engage with clients to foster business development, enhance reputation, and build relationships with municipal clients for water sector projects.participates in
networking opportunities
including involvement with professional societies within the industry.technical
guidance,
senior leadership
, and mentoring to engineering staff to strengthen the water services capabilities in Ontario.technical support,
project management
assistance, and quality management services for projects in Ontario and at times throughout North America.and maintains rich,
positive working
relationships with key clients/stakeholders.operational duties such as hiring, training and mentoring staff to staff.strategic advice and insights to the executive team and seeks out opportunities for
continuous improvement
.
What you will bring to the role:
Post secondary
Education
in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other relevant areas of study is required.
4 or more years’ experience in
project management
and technical project delivery for municipal water projects.
Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng) registration is required.
CCM, or DBIA certification.
Business development experience including proposal creation and cost estimates for municipal projects.
Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be necessary. A valid Passport is required.
Ability to
travel 5% of the year is required.
Excellent
communication
, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite,
project management
software, industry-specific software, CRM and/or ERP systems, virtual meeting platforms.
Highly
organized and detail-oriented
with a proven track-record of meeting defined deadlines and deliverables.
