The Role:
We’re looking for a Project Manager to join shōmi Custom — our division that handles complex, bespoke builds for major brand clients. This is a high-ownership, client-facing role. You’ll carry projects from kickoff through delivery, managing timelines, vendors, production coordination, and client communication simultaneously. In this role you will be working on one-off projects, as well as national rollouts for some of the world’s largest cosmetic and beauty brands.
Responsibilities:
- Own assigned projects end-to-end — scope confirmation, scheduling, production coordination, vendor management, and client communication through to final delivery
- Build and manage detailed workback schedules; hold internal teams and external vendors accountable to deadlines
- Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle — set expectations clearly, communicate proactively, resolve issues before they escalate
- Coordinate across design, production, print, and installation to ensure all components come together on time and to spec
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project records — tasks, statuses, and ownership clearly defined at all times
- Anticipate problems early and drive solutions — this role requires initiative, not just coordination
- Manage multiple active projects simultaneously without letting anything slip
- Be available and flexible during peak rollout and install periods, including being onsite or available for calls on occasion during overnight installations
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Alignment with our core values and a positive, collaborative demeanor in client and team interactions.
- 3+ years of project management experience in a high-stakes, deadline-driven environment — experiential marketing, trade shows, custom retail builds, large-scale event production, or similar
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-vendor projects from kickoff to delivery with minimal supervision
- Strong client communication skills — written and verbal; you are comfortable being the face of a project
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator — comfortable reviewing production files and identifying issues
- Highly organized with exceptional follow-through and the ability to manage competing priorities without losing composure
- Valid driver’s licence; flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
