Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Engineer (Mechanical or E&I), based in Calgary, AB. The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and engineering activities. Duties include designing and reviewing project plans, managing budgets and timelines, coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will contribute technical expertise in mechanical or electrical engineering to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Act as the communication bridge between clients and field teams
- Interpret client requirements, drawings, and technical specifications
- Clearly convey work scope and instructions to subcontractors and workers
- Coordinate daily site activities to ensure work progresses as planned
- Monitor project progress, identify issues, and assist in resolving them
- Support scheduling, material tracking, and work planning
- Prepare basic project documentation, including:
- Daily/weekly reports
- Work progress updates
- Site instructions / meeting notes
- Ensure work is carried out in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Assist senior engineers/project managers in project execution
