The UNB Saint John Faculty of Business (FOB) offers a 12-month intensive MBA program and a Bachelor of Business program with industry backed specializations, numerous experiential learning opportunities, and a CEWIL accredited co‑op program. The faculty, in collaboration with other UNB units, manages admissions, program advising, student engagement, experiential learning, curriculum development, alumni relations and community engagement.

Salary Range: $49,410 – $61,768 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Manager, Integrated Student Experience and Retention, the Project Coordinator will lead the planning, execution, control and reporting on key engagement initiatives that foster outstanding experiences for our past, present and future students. The Project Coordinator will also support special initiatives led by faculty, staff and student groups.

  • Manage institutional initiatives that build community and enhance the student belonging and experience.
  • Collaborate with staff, faculty and other units to align events with academic cycles and student needs.
  • Coordinate event logistics, marketing and communications.
  • Evaluate the impact of events through attendance tracking, feedback gathering, and post‑event reflections to improve future programming.
  • Provide project management expertise to support special initiatives led by internal strategic partners such as student clubs as needed.
  • Foster synergies and cross‑functional collaborations that enhance student experience.
  • Document proven practices in operational guides to ensure initiatives are scalable and repeatable.
  • Act as a liaison between ecosystem players to ensure smooth execution, clear communication and optimal impact of engagement initiatives on students and community.
  • Design and maintain workflows that make student‑facing activities consistent, transparent, and efficient.
  • Develop templates, checklists, and documentation that standardize quality across projects.
  • Implement tracking systems to ensure strategic alignment, operational excellence and student satisfaction.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements using data and feedback from students, staff and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, operational procedures, and quality standards.
  • Provide flexible support for emerging needs, such as communications, reporting and ad‑hoc coordination.
  • Assist with administrative tasks that keep the operations of student experience running smoothly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by surfacing insights, recommending enhancements, and supporting change management.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of successful experience in managing projects and events.
  • Proven service‑oriented inclination and commitment to student satisfaction.
  • Experience in using a structured project management methodology (e.g., PMI) to deliver high impact projects.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Strengths

  • Excellent organization, risk management and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) abilities.
  • Formal training/certification in project management (PMP).
  • Change Management training/certification (CCMP).
