Job Summary:
You will
be responsible for providing assistance to the
Project Management
and Service departments during the project execution phase as assigned.
Duties:
Reviews specifications for major equipment on project.
Responsible for review of system design (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams/Bill of Materials/drawings) and assisting with preparation of customer submittal as directed by Project Manager. Effectively responds to follow-up questions/changes on a timely basis.
Works closely with Project Managers and Technical Services to achieve goals, perform quality reviews of submittals during key preparation stages, as well as reviewing scope changes, and value engineering alternatives as opportunities are presented. Field work as required on project execution, troubleshooting and start-up as required. Administers information in ERP system with
respect
to the bill-of-material and ordering of parts.
Assists with the management of major system component vendors to ensure any equipment delay(s) are identified and mitigated. Liaises with engineering, purchasing & shop personnel to ensure that design & delivery performance meets master schedule milestones.
Facilitates
communication
internally and externally with all stakeholders as appropriate.
Identifies opportunities for change orders and manages once implemented. Responsible for coordinating on-site and remote aid during the installation process as directed by the Project Manager.
Liaises with Service department to schedule start-up, commissioning & performance testing per the master project schedule as required.
Manages Service equipment inventory and calibrations.
Assists as required with service work internally and externally. Expedites as necessary major long delivery equipment to ensure timely delivery and high quality.
Qualifications:
Excellent English
communication
and interpersonal skills required (verbal and written).Requires a university/college degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or environmental, chemical engineering discipline. 5 years of related
hands-on
field work experience in
