One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada’s Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area. Our client is looking for a Project Capex Buyer who will be responsible for procurement and processes related to capex purchases according to company standards, and adhering to specifications and ensuring cost saving measures.

Responsibilities
– Conduct market screen for excellent sources of capex purchases.
– Prepare Request for Information/ Proposal/ Quotation (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs,).
– Prepare and revise offers for commercial and technical details and comparisons.
– Manage purchase agreements focusing on quality, price, terms, delivery and services provided.
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders for planning and execution.
– Administer purchase processes from
Requisition
to Pay (SAP/SRM systems).
– Build strong relations with existing and new suppliers. Qualifications – Bachelors in Business or Logistics, or in related field.
– Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in capital purchasing and knowledge of procurement processes.
– Capable in using MS Office and SAP systems.
– Exceptional negotiation skills and understanding of contracts.
– Strong
communication
and interpersonal skills.
