Role Description
- This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Associate located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Project Associate will support the planning, coordination, and execution of building science and restoration projects. Responsibilities include conducting research, analyzing data, assisting in project management tasks, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and providing training and guidance within the team. The role will also involve ensuring projects adhere to quality, timeline, and budgetary requirements under company standards.
- Evaluating, investigating, and remediating building envelope systems, as well as implementing rehabilitation and preventative maintenance programs.
- Performance audit and reserve fund study projects, gaining invaluable experience in restoration and project management
- Assisting with project planning and coordination, conducting site assessments, and supporting the evaluation of design and construction documents
- Maintain project schedules, track progress, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to address any challenges that arise
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to assess building conditions and project requirements
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients
- Experience in or aptitude for Project Management to support planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress
- Ability to assist in Training team members and coordinating resources effectively
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with building science, construction management, or related fields is an asset
- Post-secondary education in engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred
- Foundational understanding of civil and structural engineering principles
