Project and Change Management Analyst

Join the Ministry of Natural Resources’ new Corporate Coordination and Innovation Section as we streamline how we coordinate corporate requests, support emerging enterprise initiatives, and lead efforts that make our programs and services more efficient and effective. In this role, you will lead projects that improve program delivery, shape plans and policies, and develop frameworks and evaluations. You will provide expert advice, build strong partnerships, and manage stakeholder engagement to advance ministry-wide goals.

About the job
You will:
- lead business process transformation projects, including mapping, Lean reviews, evaluations, and business case development
- assess trends, risks, and cross jurisdictional impacts; set KPIs and performance metrics for improvement
- drive strategic initiatives by creating project plans, guiding cross functional teams, and managing milestones
- lead change management, analyze project data, and produce dashboards to support progress and results
- work across branches and divisions, building strong relationships that enable effective collaboration, supporting alignment and delivery
- provide strategic advice, resolve issues, represent ministry positions, and support transformation efforts
What you bring to the team
Business process transformation
You have:
- knowledge of theories, principles and practices related to business process re-engineering, project management, change management and related projects
- knowledge of business analysis and process re-engineering methodologies and techniques
Project management and change management skills
You have:
- knowledge of project planning and project management principles and methodologies
- knowledge of change management techniques to ensure that all changes incurred by the projects are identified, planned, coordinated and implemented
- operational planning and development skills to implement and monitor operational project management policies and procedures
- planning and organizational skills to plan and direct projects, coordinate with stakeholders and expedite progress
Communication and interpersonal skills
You have:
- the ability to communicate clearly and confidently through reports, presentations, and updates that keep stakeholders informed
- consultation, collaboration and persuasion skills to obtain an understanding of business processes and other implications
- tact and political acuity to encourage engagement and acceptance of strategies, new business and processes
Research, analytical and problem-solving skills
You can:
- apply research methodologies, tools, planning and program evaluation techniques
- plan, design and lead multiple projects to develop best practice program design solutions
- lead and undertake options analysis, cost-benefit and risk assessment analysis and recommend strategies to mitigate risks
- determine requirements for planning and business documents and submissions
- evaluate and define project management requirements
