Position: PROGRAM MANAGER
Reporting to the VP of Engineering the Program Manager will coordinate a variety of projects including but not limited to:
Sales Engineering, Engineering Projects, R&D, Product Development, and Internal Projects.
The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. As a natural born leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.
Program Managers are essential in achieving company goals and growth by helping projects to stay focused on the outcome, on schedule, and on spec.
The day-to-day duties will vary project to project, but responsibilities look something like this:
Assigns resources to their projects alongside the VP of Engineering
Obtains approval for project plans in accordance with scope, budget, and work order
Produces and obtains approvals for all Tier 1 deliverables with support for simulations and concept visualizations
Provide percent complete for tasks deliverables weekly for all projects
Guides, directs, manages engineering team members to successfully complete all engineering deliverables, internal reviews, and customer approvals
Review and obtain approvals for all program deliverables
Chairs all internal and customer Tier reviews and buy-offs.
Oversees and assists onsite teams, contractors, suppliers
Works onsite when necessary to address technical, client management or team performance issues
Accountable for quality of engineering work and margin realization
Participate in employee discipline process
Negotiate and obtain approvals for customer changes
When assigned, support sales and solutioning activities and solutioning tiered deliverables.
Proactively identify new business opportunities amongst current clients and projects
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Automation, or related discipline
10+ years’ experience with automation projects and systems
Experience with equipment build and integration
Knowledge of ABB Robots, Siemens PLCs & Rockwell PLCs preferred
Legally eligible to work in both Canada andthe United States
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to travel
