Job description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all production
activities within a commercial bakery manufacturing environment. The role ensures that
production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and
efficiency in compliance with GMP, HACCP, SOPs, SSOPs, and company work instructions.
The supervisor plays a key role in team leadership, employee engagement, and fostering a strong
culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate production activities across all stages of the manufacturing
process
• Ensure production output meets or exceeds efficiency, safety, and quality standards in
accordance with GMP, HACCP, SOPs, and SSOPs
• Manage daily workflow by assigning tasks, organizing schedules, and ensuring smooth
line opera0ons
• Train, onboard, and provide health & safety orientation to new employees
• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company and food safety standards
• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions
when required
• Promote a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to all health & safety
regulations and JHSC guidelines
• Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate production
requirements and resolve operational issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices to
improve productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing
environment, preferably food production
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SOPs, SSOPs, and workplace safety standards
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work 12-hour shiPs (day or night) in a fast-paced production environment
