Title: Production Manager

Location: Woodstock, Ontario
Direct plant operations to manage and coordinate the manufacturing of products, compliance of GMP and Health Canada regulatory compliance.
Manage SOPs for Warehouse, Maintenance and Operations to meet or exceed standards for labor and materials controlled and within the scope of the business requirements
Ensures that the company’s manufacturing activities are carried out in equipment and facilities that are compliant and appropriate for the operation to maximize the safety of the staff and the quality of the products being manufactured.
Work with Warehouse Supervisor to organize and manage department.
Oversee the Sanitation Department, employees scheduling, GMP and SOP adherence.
Manage maintenance department.
Perform annual goal setting with GMP plant functions around safety, quality cost and employee development.
Work closely with the Production, Maintenance and Warehouse Supervisor to assist in the identification of drive improvements and maintain plant infrastructure
Understand the status of production rooms, schedule, daily goals and challenges.
Continually improve the overall effectiveness of the production department through the development and management of KPI’s (downtime, labour cost/unit, etc.)
Review staff levels, staff performance, and work with reporting Managers and Supervisors to ensure an adequate level of support.
Through coaching, training, communicating, problem solving, leadership and recognition develop a focus for others in creating and maintaining a continuous improvement environment.
Lead performance management conversations with employees, utilizing open, honest, two-way communication to build trust-based relationships, including monthly one on ones, to check in on employee’s progress toward achieving objectives, offer support and remove barriers; to reinforce and encourage high performance culture and a safe working environment for all employees.

Develop and effectively use reporting systems to inform operating and managerial personnel of the factory performance on a timely basis
Understanding master manufacturing records and batch production records
Adhere to Good Documentation Practices and record keeping
Assist with Quality to help with any investigations and pest management
Corrective and preventative action implementation
Making recommendations to improve efficiencies and productivity
Review facilities and equipment and plan for repair or replacement and responsible to maintain the facility in fit-for-purpose condition in all areas.
Oversee the Manufacturing Equipment and Facility Qualification and Validation programs to ensure that systems are qualified and validated.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Behavioural Requirements:
Positive Attitude with Team mentality- to support personal initiative to excel.
Knowledge and understanding of GMP and Health Canada Regulations for Natural health Products and/or food( HACCP).
Leadership – must demonstrate the ability to lead and influence others in the value of continuous improvement
