We are looking for someone to join our team as aLab/Production Worker. The primary focus of this role is to produce sample mock-ups, maintain standard sample stock and mix paint and frit.
Our team of Production and Lab Workers is a dynamic group of individuals who enjoy the challenge of multi-tasking and have strong time management and organizational skills to support that. A day in the Lab could see you moving from laminating to painting to cutting and edging glass. From colour matching to stock control, the work of the Lab supports our innovative products, providing our customers with tangible examples of the wide range of product lines and colours we offer.

Personal protective equipment (PPE):
Due to the hands-on nature of the work, this position requires certain PPE. Safety eyewear, gloves, masks, and cut resistant jacket/wrist guards are provided. You would be responsible for providing your own steel-toed boots.
Working environment:
Production/Lab Technicians work in an operating plant. Conditions include a continuously loud environment, standing for extended periods of time, and heavy lifting. Overtime may be required from time to time, with compensation.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
Is capable of lifting and moving heavy items (minimum 50 lbs)
Is able to read and understand measurements using a tape measure and scale
Can demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
Understands concepts of quality control and is committed to upholding established standards
Is able to work on multiple projects at once
Can work independently or with a team to accomplish various tasks
Preferred skills:
· Basic understanding of colour theory is an asset, but not required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year of post-secondary education or experience in an art/design-related field.
1+ years of related work experience preferred.

40 hours per week
