We’re looking for Production Employees to join our Heffley Creek Division, located in Kamloops, British Columbia. With approximately 250 employees, Heffley Creek produces plywood and veneer products, safely and sustainably while producing approximately 180 million square feet of plywood and 28 million square feet of veneer per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated commitment to working safely.
Attention to detail.
Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Have reliable transportation to site as the work location is not accessible by transit.
Previous experience in a forest products industry considered an asset.

In this role you will:
Work independently as part of a team dedicated safely and efficiently producing lumber products.
Perform a variety of labour duties around the mill.
Do general clean-up activities such as sweeping, keeping equipment clean, etc.
As part of these activities, you will be required to stand long periods of time, frequently twist and bend while working on the production line.
Perform most of your work indoors but may be exposed to both hot and cold temperatures from time to time.
Be required to work on a rotating shift schedule that rotates every two weeks, based on the following schedule:
Day shift – 7:00am to 3:30pm
Evening shift – 3:30pm to 12:00am
