Schedule: Full-time, 1st Shift | Wednesday through Saturday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
Wage: $16.00/hour

Position Summary

The Production Associate in Cut & Nail Operations is responsible for manufacturing precision-cut frame components and assembling them into finished units using pneumatic nailing tools. This role operates within a high-output production team and requires attention to detail, adherence to safety practices, and the ability to follow digital measurement systems.

All equipment in the Saw Room utilizes digital stops with computerized measuring arms. Familiarity with tape measures is also essential, as operators are expected to verify dimensions and perform regular manual checks for accuracy.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCutting Operations

• Operate digital-stop double miter saws to cut frame components to spec
• Review work orders and input measurements using computerized measuring arms
• Use a tape measure to verify cut lengths and angles, ensuring precision
• Perform visual and physical quality checks for accuracy and material integrity
• Sort and stage cut components in designated racks or bins

Nailing & Assembly Prep

• Operate pneumatic nailing machines to join frame corners
• Conduct test frame assemblies and visual inspections
• Adjust nailing depth and alignment to ensure clean, gap-free joints
• Return defective materials to recut, following documentation protocols

Clean-Up & Shift Close Duties

• Sweep workstations and shared bin aisles
• Return unused and defective materials to proper locations
• Clean the exterior and interior of saws following lockout procedures
• Empty chip boxes, remove glue residue, and ensure all tools are returned
• Follow team clean-up protocols prior to supervisor sign-off​SAW CLEAN-UP PROCEDURES​NAIL CLEAN-UP PROCEDURES

Physical Requirements

• Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs regularly
• Stand and move for extended 10-hour shifts
• Comfortable working in a woodshop environment with dust, glue, and power tools

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong understanding of measurement tools (esp. tape measures)
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and digital measurement inputs
• Reliable attendance and adherence to safety policies

Preferred Experience

• Operation of digital saws, measuring arms, or pneumatic tools
• Prior experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or frame production
