Production Associate – A shift 7:00 am to 3:30pm and B shift 3:30pm to 12:00 am Jobs in Philadelphia, PA at Northeast Building Products
SUMMARY:
A non-exempt hourly position in which the individual will assist the Production Department in producing and assembling vinyl building products, i.e., windows and doors. The production and assembling of the products will be made to meet customer expectations and in a safe and hazard-free environment. Works with and communicates closely with departmental supervisor and line leaders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Practices a safe and hazard-free work environment at all times by supporting and sharing company beliefs and principles.
- Leads By Example by:
a) Caring about your performance, as well as the performance of the department; and
b) Optimizing all resources available (i.e., people, time, machinery, materials, etc.); and
c) Following all company policies and procedures, and rules and regulations (i.e., safety, quality, process, production, etc.).
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of all policies and procedures as well as processes and equipment by attending all mandatory and other available training sessions as needed.
- Receives most assignments from the Production Supervisor and line leaders and follows the “chain of command”.
- Maintains a professional and courteous mannerism at all times.
- Have the ability to lift up to 50lbs; to include frequent lifting and carrying up to 25lbs. with frequent walking and standing, pulling and pushing.
- Can read a tape measure to the 32nd.
- Is capable of working with hands using various manufacturing tools including power tools and hand tools.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to demonstrate an overall capability to perform the duties of all positions for which he/she may be responsible for completing or monitoring on a daily basis or otherwise.
- Meets the physical requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this description as well as those that may be required to maintain production requirements. Must be able to stand/walk up to 8 hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds.
