Produce Clerks maintain and operate the Produce Department in an efficient manner within company policy, including but not limited to preparing, cleaning, stocking and displaying produce and providing excellent customer service to all customers who visit the Produce Department; to ensure that the shift contributes to the best financial interest of the store.
The ideal candidate will be efficient and follow all Company policies and procedures, including those regarding Food Safety. They will operate equipment like knives, wrappers, and scales safely and efficiently. There is occasional exposure to low temperatures from coolers. Daytime schedule is 9-5 or 10-6 consistently with weekend availability, can be flexible with scheduling.
- High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Must be able to frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
- Produce experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
- Food safety certification a plus.
