We are experiencing exponential growth in our presence in Canada. In 1998, it was awarded for the construction, operation, and maintenance project for the Fredericton-Moncton Highway. In 2011, it was awarded a section of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway extension, the first modern subway infrastructure project in the city. This project was completed in 2018.

FCC Construcción Canadá has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line, together with the GO Rail Expansion-On Corridor Project and the Scarborough Subway Extension Stations, Rail and Systems Project reinforces FCC Construcción’s presence in the Canadian market.

Project Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our FCC Canada team.

Reports to: Procurement Lead

The Procurement Manager’s key responsibilities are:

Ensure project team members and vendors strict compliance with the Procurement Plan.

Successfully executes elements of the project Procurement Plan in accordance with approved corporate and or project policies, procedures, plans, strategy and budgets.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for the procurement of complex procurement packages, including high value construction work and services in accordance with the Project Procurement Plan.

Prepare and oversee the preparation of all bid documents, bid tabulations and selection recommendations. This includes preparing the sourcing strategy, bid packages, supplier agreements and overseeing the development of the scope of work.

Work collaboratively with key project stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured in the total cost of ownership solution.

Support the Procurement Lead with planning, organizing, supervising, and managing the procurement team.

Oversee and manage all procurement disciplines; subcontracts, purchasing, material control, expedient, and Logistics.

Carry on periodic meetings with the different requesting units to evaluate progress and expedite procurement related activities.

Participate in key management meetings to present procurement’s performance and progress.

Lead communication with suppliers on all critical procurement-related matters.

Contract negotiations and preparation, including issuing approval of contract documents, subcontracts and purchase orders.

Support accounting department to align on invoice accounting and payable days.

Maintain high data integrity when inputting records in the company’s database systems.

Provide reporting and analysis on procurement activities, variances and impacts.
