Our client in the Insurance sector is looking for a Procurement Lead on a contract basis to help with management of selection of vendor for insurance products.
Duration: 3 months to start
Location:
Hybrid preferred downtown Toronto
Responsibilities:
RFP Management:
Work with internal stakeholders to draft, issue, and manage Requests for Proposal for insurance rating systems. Ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with business requirements.
Vendor Selection:
Facilitate the evaluate potential vendors based on criteria such as technical capabilities, cost, customer service, and alignment with company’s goals. Coordinate and lead vendor meetings, demonstrations, and evaluations.
Project Coordination
:
Work closely with the IT and Insurance departments to define system requirements and ensure the selected solution meets these needs. Manage timelines and coordinate efforts between vendors and internal teams.
Contract Negotiation:
Assist in negotiating contracts with chosen vendors, working alongside legal and finance teams to ensure favorable terms.
Stakeholder
Communication
:
Regularly update stakeholders on the status of the procurement process. Address concerns and ensure alignment across departments.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in procurement or
project management
, ideally within the insurance or technology sectors.
Knowledge of Insurance Systems:
Understanding of the functionalities and technical requirements of
modern
insurance rating systems.
Strong Analytical
Skills:
Ability to
analyze proposals and vendor capabilities critically and make informed recommendations.
Project Management
Skills:
Proficient in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
