We are currently hiring for the position of Lamp Processing Technician at our Ayr, Ontario location. This is a full-time, permanent role with a comprehensive compensation package that includes:

Responsibilities

Transfer Lamps: Use equipment like a pump cart or forklift to move lamps from storage to processing.

Sort Lamps: Unpack, count, and organize lamps by type for recycling.

Inspect Equipment: Conduct daily checks on machinery and equipment to ensure it’s in proper working condition before starting each shift.

Operate Machinery: Set up and run the lamp processing machine according to established procedures.

Work Safely: Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow legal requirements and internal policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Wear PPE: Wear necessary protective gear such as respirators, safety goggles, Tyvek coveralls, safety gloves, hard hats, and safety boots.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the work area clean and organized through regular housekeeping activities to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.

Record Production: Document daily production activities, including quantities processed, any issues encountered, and other relevant information in production logs.

Qualifications

3 years industrial experience.

Basic math for counting, sorting, and weighing.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Forklift experience an asset.

Work Environment

Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.

Required to exert physical effort in handling objects greater than fifty (50) pounds frequently.

Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting.

Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, dust, and weather extremes.
