Job Summary Montshire Packing is seeking multiple dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team in a full-time role supporting both slaughterhouse and meat processing operations. These hands-on positions play a critical role in humane livestock handling, meat cutting, packaging, and overall production flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with humane livestock handling and slaughter in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Cut, trim, bone, and prepare meat products to established specifications
  • Package, weigh, vacuum seal, and label products accurately
  • Box and organize finished products for storage or shipment
  • Operate equipment including knives, saws, grinders, scales, and vacuum sealers
  • Inspect products for quality, proper trimming, sealing, and presentation
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas throughout the shift
  • Follow all USDA, food safety, and workplace safety protocols
  • Work efficiently with team members to meet daily production goals

Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Willingness to follow strict safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team
  • Experience in meatcutting, processing, packaging, or manufacturing preferred (not required – willing to train)
  • Basic math and mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to learn and cross-train across departments

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12 hours) on concrete floors
  • Perform repetitive cutting, lifting, and packaging motions
  • Comfortable working in cold, wet environments (35–45°F)
  • Manual dexterity to safely operate tools and equipment

Work Environment

  • Slaughterhouse and meat processing facility setting
  • Cold, wet, and fast-paced production environment
  • Exposure to equipment, machinery, and sharp tools
  • Team-oriented workplace with daily production targets

Schedule

  • Full-time position, Monday–Thursday (occasional Fridays)
  • Days

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
