Rate: $34.03 – $40.57 per hour

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

Reporting to the Director of Programming, the Privacy and Data Analyst will bring innovation and effectiveness in responding to internal and regulatory compliance requests. This includes but is not limited to ensuring privacy safeguards, identifying potential gaps, providing recommendations for improvements and collaborating with the leadership to ensure privacy program alignment with organizational mission, vision and values. The role includes monitoring data governance practices to ensure integrity, usability and accuracy and the Privacy and Data Analyst will assist in the implementation of data quality best practices.

HOURS OF WORK

The Privacy and Data Analyst will work a thirty-five (35) hour week, the hours being flexible to the needs of agency.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Canadian Health Information Management (CHIM) certification and registration with the Canadian College of Health Information Management is an asset.
Background in information privacy and security, health information management
Experience in health records and PHIPA, PIPEDA legislation
Demonstrated knowledge of information privacy processes
Knowledge of information technology, medical records, patient privacy and confidentiality, and release of information;
The ability to communicate and work effectively with many disciplines, such as management, and clients, or other individuals
An understanding of the impact of technology changes on privacy
Strong communications skills and highly organized and systematic work habits. They must be able to demonstrate professionalism in sensitive situations. The ability to multi-task with a high degree of focus is essential.
Ability to use MS Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Highly organized with demonstrated attention to detail
