Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and equipment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all staff and visitors. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes quickly.
- Repair or replace appliances, HVAC units, refrigeration systems, motors, pumps, and other mechanical components as needed.
- Perform installation and construction tasks related to facility upgrades or new equipment setup.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met.
- Lead or assist with small construction or renovation projects within the facility when required.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigerants.
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical repairs is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction practices and safety standards relevant to maintenance work.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or lead small teams during maintenance projects.
